Hands-On Exercises
A practical exercise built into every shift, so you're not just reading but applying it to your own work right away.
Credibility Tips & Self-Check
Proven ways to build trust using brain-based insight, plus a checklist to evaluate your own learning and growth practice.

Shonté Jovan Taylor, MSc, PhD(c), is a neuroscientist, human potential trainer, NeuroProfessor, success strategist, and founder of the OptiMind Institute. Her academic training (BS in Neuroscience, MSc in Biology/Neurobiology focus) includes PhD-level graduate work in industrial/organizational psychology, alongside research in TBI, PTSD, and dementia, including work with Veterans through the government's M.I.N.D. study. Together, this grounds a mission she now carries globally: training coaches, leaders, and educators to live and lead with the brain in mind.
What sets her apart is the lens she brings to neuroscience including her experience as a Black woman in STEM, a pastor's grandchild, a former biology teacher and professor, and a lifelong learner. These unique experiences allow her to connect neuroscience to leadership, relationships, creativity, and spirituality alike, as well as to understand and consider the nuances and needs of a myriad of demographics.
Over 12-plus years she's built the OptiMind NeuroCoach & NeuroLeader Certification into a widely-trusted program, bridging rigorous brain science with language that actually reaches people.
